Argentina Visa Information
It is the attendee’s responsibility to investigate visa requirements for Argentina and apply for a visa if required. If you do need a Visa, apply 3 months prior to the conference.
Everyone Should Know
- Carry all required documents, including your passport, any required visa or travel authorization, proof of accommodation, and proof of financial means. Immigration authorities may request these on entry.
- Your passport should be valid for the duration of your stay. We strongly recommend having at least 6 months of validity remaining and at least two blank pages for entry stamps.
- Apply as early as possible. Visa processing times vary by country and can be impacted by appointment availability at consulates.
- Visitors are strongly encouraged to have travel health insurance. While not currently enforced as a mandatory requirement for entry, recent regulatory changes suggest travels have medical coverage during their stay.
Visa Applications
- Many nationalities do not need a visa for short stays (commonly up to 90 days) when traveling for tourism or business purposes, including attending conferences. Eligibility depends on nationality and passport type. View the exempt list here.
- If you require a visa, apply through the Argentine Embassy or Consulate nearest your place of residence. Applications and requirements vary by consular office.
- Some travelers may be eligible for special entry procedures such as an Electronic Travel Authorization (AVE) depending on nationality and other visa holdings.
- Always verify the most current entry requirements with official sources prior to travel, as policies can change.
